Test Measurements

Record Electrical Measurements with your results

While AS3760 does not require recording of Electrical Measurements, in some cases it is helpful to track the actual measurements in addition to the Pass / Fail status. This can be helpful to help identify equipment that while still passing, is degrading over time, and may need repair or replacement in the future.

Testing professionals can also add value for their customers by recording the Test Measurements, and then including these on the reports provided.

In FASTtag Professional Edition, Test Measurements can be added in a separate tab in the Test window.

The actual measurements will be determined according to the Equipment Type, and the measurements AS3760 requires to be performed

• Class I:  Earth Continuity, Insulation Resistance and Leakage Current
• Class II: Insulation Resistance and Leakage Current
• Extension leads and power boards: Insulation Resistance and Polarity
• RCD: Trip Time (0°), Trip Time (180°)

In each case, the measurement is in the correct units and type. For example, Earth Continuity is in Ohm, Insulation Resistance in MOhm, etc. Polarity is recorded as a Pass/Fail.
