Export changed data provides a basic system to merge data from one FASTtag data file to another. The best way to marge data between computers is to use FASTtag SmartSync Data Sharing, however in some scenarios this is not possible, and export of changed data and import my provide a solution.

When the data in any FASTtag Entity is modified, the date of the modification is automatically being tracked, this data is then used to extract the data that was changed after a specified date.

Export of changed data automatically configures a number of settings that have to be manually set when using the Export/Import Wizard, this makes the proccess of exporting changed data simple and efficient.

This solution is ideal for a contractor that is using FASTtag that is testing appliances at a company that is also using FASTtag. It is quite straight forward to take the companies datafile, perform a round of tests and then import the changed data back into the companies data file.

Note that a license is still required for each computer running FASTtag and each user peforming tests.
