Bulk Load Appliances

Rapid entry of appliances in a grid style interface

When you are doing a lot of testing, every few seconds you can save on data entry makes your work more efficient, and makes your life easier. For experienced users, entering Items one at a time in the Item Window, although easy to use, becomes tedious.

The FASTtag Professional Edition Bulk Load tool allows you to add multiple appliances at one time, in a spread-sheet like interface. Its very fast to enter the detail in the field, then hit the TAB key to more to the next field. When you reach the last column and hit the TAB key, a new Item is added to the grid, and you can again tab through each field to add the information.

Optionally do the testing at the same time - clicking the Test Button (or Enter Key when in the Test column) will record a new Test for the Item. When you are finished entering a group of appliances, click OK and they will be saved to your FASTtag data file, along with any Test results entered.

Configurable Columns

In the FASTtag Professional Edition Bulk Load Window, you can control the columns that are displayed. Add or remove columns, or re-order columns to suit the location where you are testing. The Bulk Load tool is flexible, allowing you to focus on just the information that needs to be recorded.

The Bulk Load tool can also be used for editing multiple existing appliances at one time. Just select the required Items in the main window, then click Tools > Bulk Edit Items.

Then in the Bulk Edit Window, you can make changes to any of these Items, do the testing and record the results for each item, or use the Items as the basis for Replication - see Appliance Replication.

The Bulk Load tools also has other handy features

• Item defaults, to set default values for each field.

• Add Tests, to optionally automatically add a test to each new Item, well as setting the defaults for Tests.

• Print Tags, to automatically print all the tags when you click OK.

• Replicate Items - to quickly replicate a large number of existing Items (see Appliance Replication)
